It was a strapless gown with sweetheart neckline and a contemporary, glamorous and art deco inspired feeling, all in one! The bride walked down the aisle in a gorgeous mermaid gown unlike anything we’ve ever seen before. The sound of the instrumental version of Childish Gambino’s “Rebone” helped calm his jitters as he made his way to the front. He wore a navy tuxedo with black detailing – black lapel, black buttons, black bowtie. Kyle made his way down the aisle to await his bride looking sleek and contemporary himself. The matching white hydrangea and blush rose aisle marker arrangements and loose petals were the right amount of décor without taking away from the beauty of the space itself. After landing on the Mint Museum Uptown the rest of the wedding style fell into place. ![]() When the couple began planning their wedding, they wanted to find a venue that would capture the beauty of their new city, Charlotte. That wasn’t all though, when they left the museum to head to a family celebration dinner, Sarah was surprised to show up at her own engagement party! Kyle brought Sarah back to where it all started at the museum and as soon as she said “yes,” their families burst through the side doors. No less than a week later they were on their first date and in a blink of an eye Kyle was ready to propose. Kyle first spotted Sarah, but it didn’t take long for her to notice him in his cardigan and shorts combo – which was odd for the middle of summer. The couple met at a monthly arts event at the Brooklyn Museum. When a proposal turns into a surprise engagement party, you know the wedding is going to be something special.
